Why Hand Washing Matters?

Rinsing the mitt in a separate bucket of clean water, instead of dipping it back into the soap bucket, keeps that grit out of the soap solution entirely, so the next pass over the paint uses a clean mitt rather than one dragging the same dirt back across the surface. Our Exterior Detailing Process
The sequence matters as much as the products, since doing these out of order can undo earlier work.
Pre-rinse. Loose dirt and debris are rinsed off first, before any contact wash, to avoid dragging surface grit across the paint.
Two-bucket hand wash. Full exterior wash using pH-neutral soap and the two-bucket method described above
Clay bar decontamination. Bonded contaminants, tree sap, brake dust, and rail dust are lifted from the paint surface.
Wheel and tire service. Wheels are cleaned separately from the paint to avoid cross-contaminating wash mitts, followed by tire dressing.
Hand drying. Every vehicle is dried by hand immediately after washing, since air drying is what causes water spotting in the first place.
Trim restoration and glass cleaning.
Protection applied. Sealant or wax goes on last, once the surface is fully clean and dry.
